As often happens at the end of Fall, also this year work brought me to France. More specifically, it brought me to Paris and Lyon. I love traveling to Paris, because I know I can count on the lovely and warm hospitality of a couple of friends. They recently moved to the neighborhood of the Buttes aux Cailles (13e), a fact that gave me the opportunity to explore duringa couple of long walks, this non touristic part of the city. The last four pictures, on the other hand, were shot in the Jardins des Tuileries, between the Louvre and Place de la Concorde, on the way to and from the marvelous retrospective on the oeuvre of Albert Renger-Patzsch presented at the Jeu de Paume. An extremely inspirational exposition. Publishing these pictures of Paris pushed me to dig out some old pictures of Paris I shot back in 2006 during an Eastern trip with my uncles and cousin. They were taken with my first, back then brand new, camera.
