Last March, I spent in Mbour, Senegal, three weeks. Most of the time, I busy teaching a class at AIMS Senegal (African Institute for Mathematical Sciences). Nonetheless, I took advantage of some free moments to take a few shots of the park's trees and birds, of the beach and the fishermen's pirogues, and of the city and its people. With my colleagues, during two distinct weekend days, we also visited the Saloum Delta, and the Île de Gorée with its Maison des Esclaves and Dakar. That day Senegal was celebrating its 57 anniversary of its independence: the armed forces, the police, the firemen, and many other corps paraded in a festive mood.
